What is the Kia Soul Maintenance Schedule?

2020 Kia Souls Lined Up

As a new vehicle owner, you’ll need to follow the regular Kia Soul maintenance schedule as outlined in your owner’s manual. The schedule goes for more than 10 years of ownership, ensuring that you get the most out of the crossover SUV when you bring the vehicle for service at the right time.

One thing to note is that your maintenance schedule might change based on your driving habits or where you drive the most. For example, dry and dusty climates might need more regular oil changes than what’s recommended.

Kia of Port Charlotte’s service department and parts departmentcan help you get the most out of your Kia Soul thanks to regular maintenance. We’re a full-service Kia dealership near Englewood and North Port. Without further ado, take a look at the Kia Soul’s maintenance schedule.

Every 7,500 Miles

After the first 7,500 miles of driving your new Kia Soul, consider bringing your new vehicle to our Kia service center. Our technicians will make a few inspections and perhaps some light repairs, such as rotating the tires and changing the oil. Our team will check the cooling system, suspension system, air filter, drive shaft, car battery, and braking system for any signs of wear. Gone are the days of oil changes every 3,000 miles. Now, our team recommends an interval more than twice that long.

Every 15,000 Miles

Our team will go through another oil change at 15,000 miles. That could be only one oil change every six or seven months! We’ll also rotate the tires again to prevent uneven wear. When we rotate tires, we’ll look at the brakes, too.

In addition to making the same visual inspections as before, we’ll also examine latches, locks, and hinges. It’s also time to replace the climate control filter, so you can your passengers can enjoy fresh air in the cabin

Every 30,000 Miles

When your new Kia Soul’s maintenance schedule reaches 30,000 miles, you get another oil change, tire rotation, visual inspection, and climate control filter change. Our team will suggest any possible repairs if we see anything amiss.

Every 45,000 Miles

With a 45,000-mile benchmark, your vehicle will get everything as before, but we’ll also replace the spark plugs. Spark plugs make sure your cylinders fire correctly for the best possible fuel efficiency.

This time, our technicians will take a look at accessories, hoses, battery, brake pads, and the exhaust for signs of wear. By this time, you’ve probably driven for three to five years, and some systems may start to need maintenance to stay in top shape.

Every 60,000 Miles

This service appointment will get everything you had at the 30,000-mile mark. By now, we’ll check the drive belt for wear. It’s a heavy-duty piece that controls your alternator, water pump, air conditioning, and power steering. If our technicians see signs of wear, we’ll recommend replacing the drive belt to ensure smooth operation.

We will also check the electrical systems and battery as well as the tires, transmission fluid, radiator, and brakes. Many of these items could need fluid replacement and changes by now to make sure everything runs smoothly in your Kia Soul.

Every 120,000 Miles

By now, your Kia Soul has had every kind of maintenance imaginable. Our technicians will make sure it’s ready for your travels around North Port and Venice. We’ll inspect your Kia Soul from front to back, top to bottom, to see if there are any items that need your attention, just like we did at the 60,000-mile mark.

Note: Your Kia Soul has 5-year/60,000-mile basic and 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranties. If you need any major repairs, make sure to take care of those before those warranties run out.
